Sire: +*B Mt Zion Oregon Child
Dam: Mt Zion Teton Prudy 5*M 8-04 90(VEVE)
Promise milked through last year, so was appraised very, very late in lactation. She’s much like
Prudence, but perhaps a bit longer and with a wider rump.

Dam: GCH Mt Zion Favorite Jara 6*M
Sahara ’s dam Jara
was a truly remarkable doe who finished her permanent GCH in her first couple of shows.
Unfortunately she died young and gave us no sons, but did leave us with three daughters who have equaled, if not
surpassed her, in quality. Sahara is an elegant black doe, who took 1 st place and 1 st udder in the 2 yr old class
at the 2004 State Fair, but lost out to Ariella for Grand.

Jalisco, our older daughter out of this
Khartoum/Jara breeding, reflects the same outstanding attributes of both
parents. This is the kind of consistency a breeder dreams about!

Dam: Towhee Farm DBL Legend 3*M 6-05 91 (VEEV)
We have commented many times that we’d love to have a whole herd that looked just like Myth. She’s a sundgau
-- large, strong, impressive and milky -- who passes these qualities on to her
progeny.

We are very excited about this granddaughter of
Legend and turned down several offers for her last year.
She’s a gorgeous dark chamoisee who is nearing the impressive size of her dam, Myth, and carries the same
wonderful mammary as our our other
Khartoum daughters (an improvement, we think, over both her dam and
granddam).

Although I’ve lived to regret selling Sweet’s dam, I was smart enough to keep two of her daughters. They are both
dark red chamoisee with black trim . . . and gorgeous! Beautiful toplines, wide level rumps, wonderful mammaries.
Her sister is milking through this year and will be bred next year again.
One of these, Jacinta (sired by Ulysses), died tragically only a few days after she was appraised 90(VEEE) at the
age of four. We still have Sahara and Jalisco.

EX 91 EEEE
Sire: Waiilatpu Goliath’s Ulysses
91(EEE)
Dam: Mt Zion Quetzal Benicia 2*M 86 (+EEV)
Calistoga is a doe who draws your eye simply because she is so correct in general appearance. It is this quality
that earned her first place in the very competitive 3 yr old milker class at the 2004 Oregon State Fair . . . even
though she was still milking through from her 1st lactation. She milked 2030 in her first 305 days and currently
has milked 3910 lbs with 138 lbs of butterfat in 631 days.

Gaza is the littermate sister to Asmara (owned by Shady Shamrock) who appraised 90(EEEE) in her second
lactation. Both of these does have incredible mammary attachments ( Gaza 48 in fore and 50 in rear udder ht).
Still milking, she produced 3050 in her first 305 days and is now at 623 days (5900 lbs and 247 lbs butterfat). Quite
a doe!
